About JM Switchboards
JM Switchboards was established in 1987. The business initially serviced water treatment plants and pump stations within the Cairns and surrounding region and has since expanded to service Australia and PNG in all aspects of Switchboard manufacturing and Installation. JMS currently employs 18 staff, including highly qualified electrical trade professionals and project management personnel.
Team
Getting the right equipment is critical, but it’s just as crucial to make sure you have the right people. Many employees have spent a large part of their working life with JM Switchboards; a significant number have 25 years’ experience and more.
JM Switchboards has a highly skilled outcome-driven team of professionals who strive to provide the best and most reliable service from the start to finish on every project.
Sandy McEachan
Business Development Manager
Sandy has over 40 years’ experience in the electrical industry, with hands-on involvement in all areas of switchboard manufacture; from design to project management, electrical and mechanical installations, hydraulic analysis and pump selection. With the vision of providing only superior quality products and service, Sandy has built a team of highly experienced and qualified specialists to ensure the delivery of custom-made, customer-specific solutions and support.
Craig Camarlinghi
Workshop Manager
With 20 years of Switchboard design experience, Craig is well versed in legislative and industry requirements. An experienced electrician in his own right, Craig understands the challenges installers face and tailors designs to ensure products leaving the factory will work when they arrive at their destination.
Paul Waters
Estimator / Project Manager
Paul began his career with JM Switchboards as an electrician and has progressed to JM Switchboards Estimator and Project Manager. With more than three decades’ experience in the industry, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge across the industrial, commercial and civil sectors.

Ian Donaghy
Electrical Supervisor
Ian has worked for JM Switchboards for close to 30 years and you name it – he’s seen and done it all. He’s built Switchboards, installed Switchboards, designed Switchboards and trained staff on Switchboards. Ian is a specialist in Remote Area Installations and Water / Waste Water projects.
